How Every Inch Becomes a Guest Experience & Creates a Vibe
This AirBnB host doesn’t just design spaces to look pretty—I design them to feel something: Calm. Wonder. Comfort. A little magic.

In the Enchanted Glamping Cabin with Hobbit Home, every tiny corner has intention. If a detail isn’t serving a purpose or creating a whimsical feeling, it gets lovingly re-imagined.
Here are the five best Florida glamping design rules I live by when creating meaningful, guest-centered spaces—especially here in Dunnellon, Florida, just minutes from the crystal-clear waters of the Rainbow River and a short drive to matinee capital Crystal River, Florida.

Best Florida Glamping Design Rule 1: Every Inch Needs a Job and a Little Charm
If it isn’t useful or magical, it doesn’t belong.

One of my favorite examples? An old hutch that might’ve ended up forgotten in a corner. Instead, it’s been reimagined into a beverage station—coffee, tea, sugar – cups within reach.
Every corner should invite guests to do something: pause, sip, rest, smile.

Best Florida Glamping Design Rule 2: Get Things Off the Ground

This is a sneaky design trick that makes small spaces feel bigger—and cleaner.
In the cabin, I mounted simple wooden crates to the wall as floating end tables. The result?
✔ Easier cleaning
✔ More visual breathing room
✔ A lighter, airier feel
When guests feel like there’s space to move, they relax faster. And relaxation is the whole point of Florida glamping.

Best Florida Glamping Design Rule 3: Maximize Every Square Inch and Upcycle What’s Already There
Dead space is wasted potential.
The living room at the Enchanted River Cabin was oversized and awkwardly extended into a back area, so I transformed it into a cozy bunk room. Instant function, instant charm.

The laundry room? Taking up prime real estate right in the middle of the cabin. I relocated it to the sunroom and—just like that—made space for an absolutely glamorous new bathroom fit for a queen.
Whenever possible, I reuse and modernize existing elements. Less impact on the planet 😊
White-washing the original orange wood walls was one of my favorite decisions—it preserved the soul of the cabin while elevating the aesthetics.

Best Florida Glamping Design Rule 4: Decide How You Want People to Feel
Before I started my remodel, I ask one question:
How do I want guests to feel in this space?
For the Enchanted Glamping Cabin with Hobbit Home, the answer was simple:
Like you’ve stepped into a storybook – magical, calming, cozy.

To bring that feeling to life, I brought nature indoors with a forest mural—blurring the line between inside and outside and echoing the beauty of the large tree on the 1-acre property and protected wooded areas surrounding Rainbow River just beyond the door.
Feeling matters more than square footage.

Best Florida Glamping Design Rule 5: Luxury Is in the Abundance
Luxury isn’t stiff or formal—it’s about creating ease.

I focus on:
Multiple indoor and outdoor spaces to relax & be entertained
Plenty of towels (because no one wants to ration comfort)
Soft bamboo washcloths
Cozy nooks that make you feel instantly at home
The goal is for guests to stop thinking, planning, or managing—and simply be.
