5 Tips to Plan an EPIC Florida Glamping Family Vacation.
These tips are helpful considerations to use as a guide when planning your next epic family vacation.
Tip 1: Book overnight accommodations where this is fun for everyone & you don’t have to share amenities.
At a hotel you are sharing amenities with other guests. A trip down to the pool means an adult usually has to go along. Look to rent a home that has several indoor and outdoor amenities that can appeal to everyone in your group.
The Enchanted Glamping Cabin with Hobbit Home, is the perfect spot – obviously I’m biased 😊 It is near Rainbow Springs and accommodates up to 8 guests. It has cozy cabin-in-the-woods vibes without sacrificing the things that make a getaway comfortable:

Cabin has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths a living room, full gorgeous kitchen, sunroom with huge eating table PLUS the hobbit house that sleeps 2. There are several outside chilling and eating areas.
If you're looking for a quiet Florida getaway, you could bring groceries and spend most of the week right here. The last thing you want is the kids to get bored and this unique stay prevents that for sure! Mom gets to enjoy a jetted tub with Epson salt in the queens studio suite at my cabin 😊
Tip 2: Book overnight accommodations that do not create extra work for you!
Look for a stay that offers convivence. Is there a grocery store nearby? Great places to eat? Does accommodations provide beach towels? Is there a washer/ dry? Any nearly attractions, state parks, escape room, or other activities? Does the host provide suggestions for you so that you don’t have to do a ton of research? All of this matters because you are already carrying the mental load of planning the trip. [PS: the Enchanted Cabin in Dunnellon, FL is a YES to all those questions]

The upgrade creates convivence by not having to pack games and buy s’more stuff. There is even an option to buy the firewood ahead of time and have it at property.
Not all hosts are created equal. If you message a host to ask a question about booking and it takes them days to get back to you, it is likely a sign they may not be the most attentive host. Look for a host that is going to make things easy for you!
Tip 3: Book overnight accommodations that do not break the bank.
If you blow your entire budget on the sleeping accommodations, you won’t have wiggle room for activities and food. Look for a home that packs a lot of value into its price point and even better if there are a lot of onsite activities included in the price. This means family can be entertained and having fun without even needing to leave the property.
At the Enchanted Glamping Cabin with Hobbit Home I intentionally included many amenities as part of the stay while also providing optionality if guests want to book the memory maker upgrade. Since the upgrade is a flat rate (not daily) it actually works out to be more cost effective the longer you stay!
Tip 4: Book a stay that is easy to get to.
Consider if you are driving or flying to Florida. The Tampa Airport is easy to navigate with lots of car rental options. There are so many unique stays popping up all over but make sure you pick based on what state parks or attractions are nearby.

Tip 5: Book a stay that creates memories.

IMPORTANT: Reservations are required for entry at the headsprings. If you want to tube that is only offered certain times of the year and is a separate entrance from springhead.
